Chef Manju was born and raised in Sri Lanka, where he discovered his passion for cooking and completed intensive culinary school. His journey began in Maldives, South Asia, where he refined his skills for two years before moving to the Middle East. There, he had the opportunity to work alongside renowned chefs at Maze by Gordon Ramsay, further sharpening his craft in a world-class kitchen.

From there, Chef Manju’s career took him to the Caribbean, where he spent seven years exploring vibrant flavors and techniques. Eventually, he moved his family to Canada and made Edmonton his home, serving as head chef at POLOS Sherwood Park.

Today, Chef Manju opens the doors to his very own restaurant: Spark Chef, a space that blends elevated quality and approachable dining, with a vision to one day offer a truly fine dining experience. His dishes reflect a rich tapestry of global influences, crafted with care, creativity, and a dedication to excellence.
